Pattye is an associate clinical professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF). She maintains a clinical practice in the Physical Therapy Faculty Practice at UCSF treating musculoskeletal problems in children, adolescents and adults. She has been part of the adult and pediatric hemophilia treatment center at UCSF since 1992.

Pattye graduated from New York University with a B.S. in Physical Therapy and received her clinical doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Health Professionals. She is an American Physical Therapy Association board certified orthopedic clinical specialist since 2000.

Pattye is the physical therapist representative on the Center for Disease Control's Universal Data Collection Working Group. She was named by the National Hemophilia Foundation in 2007 as Physical Therapist of the Year.

Pattye is also a member of the Golden Gate Continuing Education Committee and the California Physical Therapy Association's continuing education's sub-committee.
