Leadership U is Bayer's internship program for young adults from ages 18 to 22 to help prepare them for future leadership in the hemophilia community.
The Bayer Leadership U intern program for young adults ages 18-22 was founded with hemophilia advocacy organizations, healthcare professional thought leaders, and other community advocates - to help prepare future leaders in the hemophilia community.

Leadership U

We founded Bayer Leadership U with hemophilia advocacy organizations, healthcare professional thought leaders, and other community advocates — to help prepare future leaders in the hemophilia community.

Are you a college-aged member of the hemophilia community? Are you looking for a summer internship opportunity that will allow you to make a difference for those living with hemophilia, while also gaining experience at a large, innovative and world-renowned company? Boy, have we got good news for you. Bayer Leadership U is Bayer’s flagship internship program for emerging leaders in the hemophilia community. Don’t have hemophilia? That’s ok! We’re looking for anyone with experience and knowledge about bleeding disorders and the bleeding disorders community.

If you’re looking for an internship that consists of coffee runs and organizing files, this may not be the gig for you. During this 12-week, paid summer internship experience at our U.S. headquarters in Whippany, New Jersey, you’ll have the opportunity to:

Work with business leaders in the marketing department developing promotional materials.

Partner with a business leader in Bayer that works in your specific area of interest like HR, Finance, Medical or Advocacy.

Have the opportunity to meet regional and national advocacy leaders in the bleeding disorders community.

If you’re not sold yet, here are a couple more cool aspects of the program:

Formal training for communication skills, effective problem-solving and leadership

Transportation to/from Whippany, and up to 12 weeks of provided lodging near the Bayer campus.
